Merit Scholarship and Bedfordshire Bursary

The University of Bedfordshire accepts applications for Merit Scholarships and Bedfordshire Scholarships for UK students with a 3 or 4 year Bachelor’s degree.

This award is only available to native students enrolled in the September 2023 full-time undergraduate program for the 2023-24 academic year.

Merit Scholarships and Bedfordshire Scholarships

The University of Bedfordshire was founded in England on 1st August 2006. It is an internationally recognized public research university with five campuses. Admission at Bedfordshire is somewhat competitive, with a moderately selected acceptance rate of 70%.

Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:

Be registered on a full-time, undergraduate Bachelor’s degree course

Be a new entrant student to the University from September 2023 in the academic year 2023/24 who has not previously been enrolled (registered) at the University of Bedfordshire or the University of Luton.

Be registered on the course on the relevant dates when eligibility for the award is determined (i.e., the census dates)

Be a Home student who will pay the maximum tuition fee of £9,250 (including students whose fees may be paid by the SLC). The University reserves the right to review scholarship and grant packages should the UK Government or other third parties reduce this ceiling fee.

Satisfied and completed all stages of the funding process that may require the sponsor or external agency to pay fees to ensure that the University is not blocked from paying.

How to apply

How to apply: There is no application process for the Merit Scholarship or the Bedfordshire Scholarship. Applicants will automatically be awarded upon completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Bedfordshire in September 2023.

A letter of recommendation or the name and contact details of at least one of her reviewers

Admission requirements: For UK students with an entry eligibility score of 120 UCAS tariff points or above or equivalent. Admission requirements vary for specific courses, so students should review each course description before applying.

Language requirements: The following degrees meet the English language requirements for a bachelor’s degree. UKVI Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.

  • Merit Scholarship: Valued at £2,400* over three academic years, it is awarded to those who demonstrate high academic achievement and achieve at least 120 UCAS tariff points.
  • Bedfordshire Scholarships: This scholarship is designed to assist UK students in aspects of student life such as: B. Together with the course fee. This scholarship provides the student with her £1,000* in her third grade, or £1,300 if she completes the course in her fourth grade (including the foundation year).
