Responsibilities
Core Accounting Functions:
- Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new business plans
- The position holder determines the actual cost associated with food production by looking at all expenses within the supply chain.
- Protects and strengthens our competitive advantage by advocating and supporting sound business and financial decision making.
- Implements a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks.
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
- Understands the owners’ perspective and ROI expectations.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Analyzes financial data and market trends.
- Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses
- Assists in analyzing information, forecasts sales against expenses and creates annual budget plans.
- Report on margins by product and division
- Compiles information, analyzes and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
- Analyzes differences between actual budget wages and forecasted wages for more efficient budget planning.
- Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
- Ensures Profits and Losses are documented accurately.
- Reviews audit issues to ensure accuracy.
Inventory:
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts
- Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues
- Update standard costs in the bill of materials, review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
- Validate the cost of food produced and sold as part of the month-end close
- Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
- Work with the materials review board to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory.
Others:
- Anticipates and addresses owner needs and involves ownership in key decisions.
- Facilitates critique meetings to review information with management team.
- Attends meetings and communicates with the owners, understanding the priorities and strategic focus.

Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND qualification with a minimum of 7 years experience.
