BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• All applicants are required to have the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result.
• All applicants are required to have credits at SSCE, GCE, NECO, or approved equivalent in at least five (5) subjects, which must include English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects as may be specified by each programme.
• The five credits should be obtained in not more than two sittings.
* Candidates awaiting results may also apply.
* Candidates must apply in person at the University
• Interested candidates who wish to change their Institutional first choice to Arthur Jarvis University are required to:
* Apply for change of institution through JAMB Portal.
* Print out new Admission Letter from JAMB Portal and present same to the Admissions Unit of the University.
DIRECT ENTRY
Candidates seeking admission through direct entry into any level should possess any of the following:
• (a) NCE at credit level, ND and approved equivalents with at least Lower Credit in relevant fields.
• At least two Advanced Level passes at acceptable grade level.
• The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB).
• In addition to NCE/ND/IJMB, JUPEB or two Advanced Level papers specified by each programme, candidates must also satisfy the Ordinary Level requirements.
• HND holders may be admitted to 200 Level or 300 Level depending on the regulation guiding admission to each department / programme.
PRE-DEGREE Programes
Candidates seeking admission into Pre-Degree programme should possess the following:
• A minimum credit pass in at least five subjects at ‘O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings in one of the following:
1. General Certificate of Education (GCE)
2. West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE)
3. National Examination Council (NECO)
4. National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB)
• Prospective candidate must have registered for and taken Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination with a score that is not below the National average.

Candidates seeking admission into the 100 level of the four year-degree programme in B.Sc. Physics should meet the following requirements:
1. Applicants must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
2. For a candidate who has attained the benchmark standard in the UTME to be registered for B.Sc Physics in the University, he/she must have a minimum of Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other science subject (example Further Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science).
Earth Sciences (B.Sc. Geology and B.Sc. Applied Geophysics)
Candidates seeking admission into the 100 level of the four year-degree programme in either B.Sc. Geology or B.Sc. Applied Geophysics should meet the following requirements:
1. Applicants for B.Sc. Geology must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or any other relevant science subject .
2. Applicants for B.Sc. Applied Geophysics must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology.
3. For a candidate who has attained the acceptable standard in the UTME to be registered for either B.Sc in Geology or B.Sc. Applied Geophysics in the University, he/she must have a minimum of Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Biological Sciences (B.Sc. Biology, B.Sc. Microbiology and B.Sc. Biotechnology)
Candidates seeking admission into the 100 level of the four year-degree programme in either B.Sc. Biology, B.Sc. Microbiology or B.Sc. Biotechnology should meet the following requirements:
1. Applicants must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics or mathematics .
2. For a candidate who has attained the benchmark standard in the UTME to be registered for B.Sc Biology, B.Sc Microbiology or B.Sc. Biotechnology in the University, he/she must have a minimum of Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other science subject (Physics or Agricultural Science) with at least a pass in Physics for B.Sc. Candidates seeking admission into the 100 level of the four year-degree programme in either B.Sc. Chemistry or B.Sc. Biochemistry should meet the following requirements:

Candidates seeking admission into the 100 level of the four year-degree programme in either B.Sc. Mathematics or B.Sc. Computer Science should meet the following requirements:
1. Applicants for B.Sc. Mathematics must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology.
2. Applicants for B.Sc. Computer Science must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Economics.

Candidates seeking admission into the 100 level of the four year-degree programme in B.A. English should meet the following requirements:
1. Applicants must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Literature in English, one other arts and one social science subjects.
2. For a candidate who has attained the benchmark standard in the UTME to be registered for B.A. English in the University, he/she must have a minimum of Credit pass in English Language, Literature in English, one other arts and one social science subjects.

Candidates seeking admission into the 100 level of the four year-degree programme in B.Sc. Accounting or B.Sc. Banking & Finance should meet the following requirements:
