UNIPORT admission to ACIB/B.Sc linkage programme
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Part-Time (Weekend) B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in the Department of Finance and Banking, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Port Harcourt for the 2022/2023 academic session.
OBJECTIVES
The ACIB/BS.c Linkage Programme leads to the award of B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Finance and Banking.
The curriculum is designed to update, strengthen and enhance the academic and analytical skills of the students thereby improving their efficiency and productivity on the job.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Degree in Finance and Banking
(i) Candidates must have credit passes in five subjects:
(a) English Language (b) Mathematics (c) Economics (d) any other two from Government, History, Geography, Commerce, Accounting (Finance/Business), Literature-in English, Christian Religious Knowledge/Islamic Religious Knowledge, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
(ii) All candidates must have professional and/or academic certificates obtained through examinations in any one or more of the following fields:
Banking, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Marketing, Management, Accounting, Commerce, General Administration or HND or Degree in any of the functional areas in Management Sciences/Business Administration, or Degree in Economics, Education (Accounting), Education (Business Administration), and Education (Economics).
(iii) Membership in the Association of Chartered Bankers of Nigeria is mandatory. However, those who are not currently registered with the institute must register upon admission. In any case, by the end of the first term of the first year.

Duration of the program
The minimum duration of the program is 2 years in weekends and the course is covered in 3 semesters per academic session.
Application method
ACIB/B.Sc Collaboration Program
A non-refundable fee of only ₦15,00.00 (15,000 Naira), including bank charges, must be paid online by bank transfer to the following banks designated by the University.
First Bank Plc, Ecobank, Fidelity Bank, University of Port Harcourt, Choba Microfinance Bank. Candidates must proceed to a bank passbook from a bank and obtain an application form from the Port Harcourt University University Park School of Business Accounting Office. Completed applications must be returned by 30 June 2023 to the ACIB/B.Sc Linkage Program Coordinator at the College of Management Sciences, University of Port Harcourt.
